Historica can save time and money through consultation. For example, in several films we have worked on we have advised on the correct period costume down to the way it was worn at the time. We have also advised on historically accurate actions for actors – eliminating annoying anachronisms. We understand the need for historical accuracy – but also the needs of film and television in terms of what works on screen.
We offer the options of period correct actions and have seen Directors have found these to be more visual and ‘filmicly appealing’ than the stereotyped actions often used – actions more based on other films than any historical evidence.
