We work closely with 3-D Exhibitions, Jelly Design and Definitive Group, experienced and widely respected exhibition designers, heritage designers and display panel producers and installers.

Heritage Projects are managed by consultant historian Dr Stephen Gapps MPHA. Dr Gapps has conducted several major projects for clients including the Department of Conservation (National Parks Division) and LGA's:

  • Dalmorton Historic Site, History for Conservation Management Plan (2004)
  • Currango Historic Site, Oral Histories Project (2005)
  • Forbes Shire Council, 'Wenz Collection' Statement of Significance (2005)
  • Yanga Historic Site, Oral and Written Histories Project, pre-Conservation Management Plan (2007)

We are committed to working within current cultural heritage management planning and adopt an integrated or 'whole-of'-landscape' approach in the identification and assessment of all (historic and pre-contact) environmental, historic, economic and social values of heritage sites.

Historica has extensive experience in projects that meet the historical standard required for Conservation Strategies, Management Plans and Interpretation as prescribed by the NSW Heritage Office, as well as producing oral histories and contextual history in accordance with the philosophy and definitions as set out in the Burra Charter and Guidelines, the international Cultural Tourism Charter, the Australian Natural Heritage Charter, the NSW Heritage Manual and NSW Heritage Office, CMP & CMS guidelines.
